Both handmade. One is oak taken from 'The decking of the Mauretania. The old lady of the Atlantic' the brass plaque reads. The Mauretania was the sister ship of The Lusitania which was torpedoed by a German U-boat in 1915. It was one of the most successful ships by Cunard Line.

The other is a 1930s carved pot with an inscription reading, Cyril V Lock in Portsmouth, early 1930.
